Throughout the year, students will be assigned math homework. The practice is so important to the overall foundation we are building. It reviews skills that were taught in the classroom and allows the students to practice these skills. All homework must be completed diligently and neatly, showing all work.
In middle school, we work to have the students take on more responsibility in preparation of becoming life-long learners.
Most homework assignments will be evaluated based on the amount completed with effort.

- Most math homework will be assigned as a weekly assignment. In a normal 2 week topic (chapter), there will a weekly vocab assignment and a weekly online Agile Mind or Khan Academy assignment (and sometimes both). These two assignments will usually occur on different weeks. The vocab will be the first week of the topic and the Agile Mind online homework will be the second week of the topic.
- Students are expected to record the assignments in their Agenda notebooks.
- Students may be issued a lunch detention if they have more than one missed assignment.
- Parents are encouraged to check the online gradebook on a weekly basis to monitor their child’s progress in all classes. Guidance can provide you with the password if you have misplaced the one that was sent in September.
